Erica Ryu Wong recently earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan. Her dissertation, entitled "Can Religion Trump Race? Interracial Friendship in Protestant Churches," explored the factors that foster interracial friendship in churches through both a quantitative analysis of national data and an in-depth study of four multiracial congregations. She is currently a research affiliate with Rice University's Institute for Urban Research.
Dr. George Yancey, is associate professor of sociology at the University of North Texas, specializing in race/ethnicity and biracial families. He is the author of One Body One Spirit (IVP) coauthor of United by Faith (Oxford), coeditor of Just Don't Marry One (Judson) and the author of Beyond Black and White (Baker). He is the founder of Reconciliation Consulting, helping churches and ministries develop and sustain a multiracial emphasis.
Gregory Hooper is the Pastor of Worship Arts for Sunrise Church in Rialto, CA. He enjoys singing, reading, writing music, playing the viola and piano and spending time with family. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Gregory was has been blessed with the opportunity to sing and minister around the world in places like India, Japan, New York and Mexico. Dr. Jay Pankratz is the Senior Pastor of Sunrise Church in Rialto, CA. He was instrumental in transitioning Rialto Community Baptist Church, a congregation of under 400 with a traditional Baptist liturgy that was 98% Caucasian to Sunrise Church a congregation of over 5,000 with a contemporary multiethnic service that has no ethnic majority in its congregation, leadership, or staff.

Rev. Dr. Linnea E. Carnes pastors Immanuel Evangelical Covenant Church in Chicago. Dr. Carnes transitioned the congregation from predominantly white American to a multiethnic composition, representing fourteen nationalities, reflective of the community surrounding the church. Dr. Carnes earned a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kansas (1965), a Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary (1991) and a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from North Park Theological Seminary (2006). Her Doctoral Thesis was entitled “One Voice Among Many: Preaching in a Multiethnic Congregation” a subject that emerged from her pastoral experience. Dr. Carnes was ordained in The Evangelical Covenant Church in 1993.

Thame Fuller is the pastor of ONE Church in Lynnwood, WA. Thame has served in pastoral ministry since 1998, and is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He is blessed to be the husband of his wonderful wife and ministry partner Suzi and the father of their three children, Rebecca, Ryan and Nicole.
Dr. Peterson served as a pastor of churches in Texas and Oregon for thirty-eight years before retiring in 2003. He served as assistant director for the Doctor of Ministry Studies at Dallas Seminary and the vice president for the Urban Evangelical Mission. He has a recognized International Conference Speaking ministry across Africa, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia. In 2006 Dr. Peterson conducted a spiritual life retreat in Garmisch, Germany, for all U.S. Military chaplains serving in Europe. He maintains an extensive consulting ministry to various denominations and evangelical organizations such as the Evangelical Covenant Church, Episcopal churches, the Mosaix Global Network, and the Navigators.
After serving on the Kentwood Community Church (KCC) pastoral staff since 1979, Dr. Wayne Schmidt accepted the invitation to become Vice President for Wesley Seminary in fall 2009. Dr. Schmidt developed Kentwood Community Church into one of the flagship churches in the denomination while becoming increasingly multi-ethnic and planting 10 churches. In 2009, KCC averaged more than 2,600 attendees each weekend.
